Re assets are becoming more portable across DeFi. With LayerZero-powered bridging now live, reUSD can move across multiple ecosystems, giving depositors greater flexibility in how and where they deploy capital.

As integrations, liquidity, and incentives continue to expand across chains, portability helps ensure Re assets can move with the opportunities.

What’s Live
Bridging for reUSD is now live and powered by LayerZero, with supported chains including Ethereum, Avalanche, Base, Arbitrum, Ink, Katana, Plasma, and BNB Smart Chain.

This means users can now move their assets across multiple ecosystems without needing to close a position on one chain and start over on another.

Instead of going through a redeem and remint process, depositors bridge their assets to the network where they want to deploy capital. This gives reUSD more flexibility across DeFi.

Why This Matters
Crosschain portability strengthens the credibility and utility of reUSD by allowing them to move seamlessly across ecosystems as liquidity and opportunities evolve.

As Re expands across networks, users can deploy capital where it is most effective, reinforcing Re’s position as a flexible and reliable asset layer of DeFi.

A Simple View of Re
Re brings real world reinsurance markets onchain, allowing capital deposited into the protocol to support insurance portfolios and earn yield from the underlying reinsurance agreements. Through Re, DeFi capital can participate in markets that have traditionally been accessible only to large institutional investors.

By providing exposure to risks such as workers’ compensation claims, Re offers access to a source of yield that is largely uncorrelated with traditional DeFi activity, helping diversify where and how capital is deployed.

Why Portability Strengthens Re Assets
As reUSD become usable across more chains, they become more flexible tools within DeFi. Portability increases the number of ecosystems where these assets can circulate and be integrated into new applications.

Depositors can move capital to where integrations appear; whether that’s liquidity pools, lending markets, or new incentive programs.

Greater portability expands the number of places these assets can work, making them easier to incorporate into a wide range of strategies.

What You Can Do Now
With bridging now live here, users can bridge reUSD to the chain where they want to deploy capital:

  • Bridge reUSD to the chain where you want to deploy
  • Rebalance faster as incentives move or new venues launch
  • Access more venues for swaps, liquidity, collateral, and lending as integrations go live across chains
  • Keep one position across ecosystems instead of restarting via redeem/remint workflows

Why LayerZero
This crosschain access is enabled by LayerZero’s messaging infrastructure, which supports communication between different blockchain networks. By connecting multiple ecosystems, it allows reUSD to move between chains and maintain a consistent user experience.

LayerZero supports a bridge flow that many DeFi users are already familiar with. This helps reduce friction when moving assets and makes crosschain activity easier to navigate.

For Re depositors, this creates a smoother portability layer for their assets.

A Note on Risk
Bridging introduces additional crosschain risk. Re supports specific routes only, with operational guardrails, monitoring, and ongoing reviews.

These measures help ensure that crosschain activity remains controlled and transparent as the ecosystem grows. As with all DeFi activity, users should understand the risks involved and deploy capital according to their own risk tolerance.

About Re
Re is a decentralized reinsurance protocol that connects institutional and DeFi capital to fully collateralized insurance risk. We back insurance premiums through a regulated onchain structure, offering stable, low-correlation yield to capital allocators. Re is building a modern, global marketplace for onchain risk transfer.

About LayerZero
LayerZero is an omnichain messaging protocol — a permissionless, open framework designed to securely move information between blockchains. It empowers any application to bring its own security, execution, and crosschain interaction, providing a predictable and adaptable foundation for decentralized applications living on multiple networks.
